This is a picture of the second concert that I have gone to a Greenville and Not only was it very good but it included three people from my floor and all three of them did awesome!!
You should start a new blog post to explain the events you have attended this year.

Improv Show
I went to the first Improv show about a month ago or so. My favorite skit that they did was there opening skit that was a film where they were in a mob and in the end they had an epic rock paper scissors battle. There were so many people there that we were in standing only room in the balcony of La Due.
Hispanic Dinner
A while back I went to the Hispanic Festival in the DC. There were many different booths where students had picked different Hispanic countries and had boards with information. We also had the DC best impression of Mexican food. I had chicken tacos and chips and salsa. On the big screen they also had a Mexican concert playing.
Common Day of Learning
On the Common Day of Learning I went to a presentation in the upper union where the group discussed the importance of Service Learning projects and how to get students to do it to serve others and not just to fulfill a requirement.
Hologram show
A few weeks ago I went to the hologram concert with a few of my friends. each student in Nashville's music college program played one or two songs that he/she wrote or revised. I was really good! Each one of them had different styles and tastes in music. Then finally to conclude the show, the was a special hologram show with an artist stationed in Chicago. Even though he showed up smaller than what I was expecting it was still really cool to see someone perform live in one area and have it show live at the same time in a hundred or so miles away.
Pizza Colloquium
For My Chemistry Class I went to a presentation that had two speakers Kirk Pierce and Josh Morgan. They each gave a presentation on the summer research that they did this past summer. Though I was confused a lot of the time because their research was way over my head, I still enjoyed going and learned a little bit.

Joyous Chaos
A few weeks ago I went to the Joyous Chaos improv show with a group of my close friends. The show was held in Ladue auditorium, and, as always, it was packed. I always enjoy going to the improv shows because they are always really funny and I know one of the cast members. I had a really great time that night and will continue to support the Joyous Chaos team and attend their shows.

Cor401 Presentation
On Thursday I walked over to Dietzman with a couple friends to watch a presentation. The title was Fostering a Faultless Religion. Their instructor was Patrick Miller. They told us the amount of foster children in our country as well as told us ways we could get involved and help out. I thought it was a meat presentation over all. It was very informative

Senate Meeting
I went to the all campus Senate meeting. I went because I thought it would be pretty neat and people arguing and debating is pretty amusing. I also heard that there would be free cookies. Everyone loves free stuff, and cookies. I don't think I'll go to another one. I couldn't take it very seriously.

Lab Band Concert
On November 11 Shyanna, Tiffany, and I walked to the blackroom to watch our fellow friends perform at a lab band concert. I have never been to one before so I was very excited to attend. When I was on the way there I could hear the music from Snyder, and when I finally got inside it was like a mini concert right here on campus! I was surprised that more people were not there because you could probably hear the music everywhere on campus. I really enjoyed this event, and I am planning on going to the next. Also, I highly recommend that you guys all attend at least one lab band concert. You will not be disappointed!

About a week ago I went to the Jansen Hall dance and dinner with Shawn Goff. It was out at field house and everything was really pretty. The food was great and the dancing was fun. I ate alfredo, salad and bread with sweet tea. It reminded me of a high school prom which was weird and fun all at the same time.
Leah Janes

I have attended the free Methodist church as frequently as I. It reminds me a lot of the church I went to back home. The music, though, is different. Back home our music is much more get out of your seat and dance kind of music. Our worship leader is African American so he likes to see just how energetic the congregation can get. The preaching is very similar along with the basic core ideas and beliefs.
This picture was taken when I went to the Christian church about a month or so ago. I put this one up because I did take a picture at the other church.

Without Ceasing
So I'm going to start off by saying thay I am not the best taker of selfies; but none the less, Without Ceasing was a great event. Coming together for the whole night to worship and pray is a good way to grow closer as a community and to grow our relationships spiritually. I recommend for people to attend the next one!

Grill & Chill
This past September, I attended the Multicultural organization Grill & Chill. We drove down to Patriot's Park, had some really delicious food, and had fun hanging out with friends, enjoying the outdoors. Although it was extremely hot outside, I still had a great time interacting with some new people. Unfortunately, it started pouring rain in the middle of the event, so everyone had to leave a little earlier than expected. Regardless, it was a great night.
GC Football
This past September, I attended my first ever Greenville football game with a few of my teammates. I actually got to work the game as a ball handler on the GC sideline, and it was definitely a new experience. I didn't really know any of the football players very well so I felt really out of place at first. I eventually got the hang of it and I ended up really enjoying the experience. Plus, I got points for my Intro to Sports Management class. I love how the football team gathers together with the fans after the game to share "put ups" and to recognize the family and friends that came out to support the team.
Art Walk
This past September, several of my friends, teammates, and I all went downtown Greenville for the annual art walk. I enjoyed all of the many varieties of art on display along the streets. There were several small tents set up along the streets selling homemade crafts, clothing, and bakery items. I enjoy going to community events in Greenville because it reminds me that there is life outside of our campus. I had a great time socializing and walking along the art walk. I'm sure I'll be back next year.
All Campus Senate Meeting
On November 6th I walked over to the DC to attend the all campus senate meeting at 9:30 pm with Mackenzie Burris, Shyanna Kelley, and Anna Pinkerton. Several people attended this event, and I am not sure if it was for the free cookies, or to get a picture for their scrap blog but I was surprised by the number of people that showed up. This event was not what I expected at all. The changes they want to make a Greenvile seemed to be a little over their head, so all their proposals came off as hypotheticals. The only reason I went to this event was so I could voice my opinion on certain areas that I believe need improving at Greenville. When the floor was opened up to the audience Shyanna brought up an issue that we had been hoping someone could change. That issue was more fruit in the DC! Even after explaining to them our thoughts they still did not seem to take it very serious. I have come to the conclusion that I will not be attending another Senate meeting because it seemed like a joke, for lack of a better word.

Christian Church Serivce
Towards the beginning of the school year, I went to First Christian Church of Greenville with most of the girls of 2nd Burritt West. The church was similar to my home church except much larger. I go to a Southern Baptist church of about 115 people, while FCC has about 300 attendees on a regular Sunday. The sermon was about friendship, and how the kind of friends you surround yourself with can affect your future. The pastor used the same phrase several times to really drive the point home. "Show me your friends, and I'll show you your future." I really enjoyed attending FCC and I plan on going there for Sunday worship the rest of the year.

Women's Volleyball Game Vs Westminister
Improv Show
I went to my first Improve Show last week. It was by far one of the best events i have been to so far at GC. I was laughing pretty much throughout the entire thing. I highly recommend for others to attend the next one!
Midnight Madness
I went to midnight madness with some friends. The dunk contest was definitely my favorite part of it. Ron's dunk with the rainbow soccer kick as an alley oop was pretty legit. I can't wait for the season to get here so I can to to both the girls and guys games! I also can't figure out how to put a picture on here. Way to go me.

First Improv Show
All College Hike
The all college hike overall was a really fun experience! It was fun wearing throwback uniform jerseys with the whole mens basketball team. At first I was not expecting myself to be able to run the whole event but in the end a few teammates and I were able to run the whole 5.5 miles non-stop. At the end of the hike we ate lunch and hung out with the rest of the students. After we ended the event with chapel. Overall the All College Hike was a really fun experience and I enjoyed being a part of it the whole time.
Ball Boy for lady panthers
Ball boy at the lady panther game was really an experience to the game up close and personal, Getting to see different formations and just how complex the game was.
it was really fun was to give back and help out our lady panthers
and a big shout out to Barbara on varsity killing it.
Prof Gilmore was at this game, which means he should be at basketball games !

This is from the time earlier in the year when I served at some farm helping to pick indian corn. At first it was fun riding on the tractor and experiencing this for the first time since I'm a city boy from Miami, but my fun was killed quick after walking through webs, and seeing spiders crawl all over the place.
Volleyball Game
My roommate and best friend plays on the GC volleyball team so I go to the volleyball games as much as I can. This picture is the game whenever the JV played Macmurry. They destroyed. Volleyball here is so much different then volleyball at my high school. Here the games are much more intense unlike my high school where no one shows up. I will obviously go to more games.
Also sorry I don't have a picture for this one either. It was sending from my phone.

improv show
About a month ago my friends and I went to the Improv show. I went to the Improv show when I came to visit back in March so I had a pretty good idea of how much laughter I would be getting myself into. We didn't have anything like this at my high school and I wish we would have because it is a great time full of fun. I plan on going to many more of their shows!
Sorry I don't have a picture I didn't know at the time we needed one.

October 25, 2014
I went to the homecoming dance with three of the soccer girls and two of the boys. We walked to Freshman parking lot and drove over to the football fields. At first we only planned on staying for thirty minutes because we thought that no one would show up, but to our surprise there was actually a lot of people at the dance. I was a little skeptical of this dance, but after being there for thirty minutes I quickly realized how awesome the night was going to be. I enjoyed this event so much that next time there is anything like this I will definitely be attending it.
GC Volleyball
The soccer team decided to have team bonding at the Volleyball game on October 24. At 7:00 p.m. we all made our way over to the gym to support our fellow athletes. This was the first Volleyball game I attended since I have been at Greenville, and it was a great game to watch! I had no doubt there would be a large crowd in the gym which made our cheers that much powerful. It was definitely exciting to watch our Volleyball team dominate the game. I enjoyed being able to spend time with the team while also showing our support for our friends! I hope to attend the next game, and continue to watch as they dominate any team that comes through.

Caleb Miles, Church Service
Last weekend I went with my baseball team to the Free Methodist church service here in Greenville. That was a new experience for be considering I come from a Baptist church back home with a congregation of about 25 or 30 people. I'm used to a service that never lasts more than an hour and this one lasted quite a bit longer than that. I did really like the worship band and the song selection. But I did not understand why they had chairs instead of pews.

Improv Show
After study tables one night Taylor Purkey, Hope Brakenhoff, and I decided to walk over to La Due to attend the Improv Show. I was surprised to see that even though we showed up pretty early all the seats had been taken so as a result we had to get desks from the nearby classroom. I had heard that this was a popular event, but I did not realize it was that popular. After we got our seats we met up with some of the soccer guys and waited for it to start. I found this event hilarious and memorable. I do not think I stopped laughing throughout the entire show. The only negative comment I have about the improv show is that it was a little too long. They could have ended it earlier, but either way it was still an awesome experience, and a lot of fun. Also, this event helped me become closer to my friends, and definitely helped me make several more! I am impatiently waiting for the next improv show!
